ClassPerks (“we”, “us”) provides a membership platform for teachers to redeem in-store and online perks using time-limited QR codes.

Information we collect

  • Account & identity: name, email, school/teacher verification status.

  • Subscription/billing: plan, renewal status, payment method details handled by our payment processor (we do not store full card data).

  • Usage & redemptions: time-limited token data, scan outcomes (APPROVED/EXPIRED/REPLAYED/INVALID), vendor/device ID, timestamp, IP/device info of the scanning device (for fraud prevention).

  • Offers/coupons: coupon reveal/use events (for eligibility/refunds).

  • App & site analytics: pages viewed, device info, cookies.

How we use your information

  • Provide the service (generate/validate rotating QR codes, manage membership).

  • Prevent abuse/fraud (anti-replay, rate limiting, audit logs).

  • Support, troubleshooting, and safety.

  • Analytics to improve features (aggregated/limited).

  • Communications you opt into (service emails; optional marketing).

Legal bases / permissions

  • Contract: to deliver the membership you subscribe to.

  • Legitimate interests: fraud prevention, service security, analytics.

  • Consent: marketing emails/cookies where required.

Sharing & processors

  • Vendors see only what’s needed to validate your perk (approval status; no full personal profile).

  • Service providers (processors): hosting (e.g., Firebase/Supabase), payments (e.g., Stripe), email/support tools, analytics—bound by contracts and confidentiality.

  • We do not sell personal information.

Data retention

  • Scan logs: 90 days (for support/audit).

  • Token records: short-lived (≈30–60 days max) for security review, then deleted.

  • Account & ledger (points/referrals): while your account is active and as required for accounting/legal.

Security

  • HTTPS, strict access controls, secrets management, signed/hashed tokens, rate limiting, and monitoring.

Your choices & rights

  • Access, update, or delete your info (subject to legal limits).

  • Opt out of marketing at any time.

  • Contact support@classperks.net for requests.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country. We use safeguards (contractual and technical) to protect it.

Children

The service is for adults (teachers) only.

Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email.
